Anyone Used an Edirol PCR-30? or M-Audio Oxygen 8?

| hey... i just got logic on my computer and everythings all set up. all i need now is some sort of midi keyboard. one of my friends has an m-audio oxygen 8 and he says its pretty decent. it has all the functions he really needs. but i also was looking at the edirol pcr-30 keyboard. it looks like it has more functions to use etc. i'm looking for some sort of usb controller as well. it makes life a lil easier.. hehe. if anyone has tried either the oxygen 8 or the edirol and has an opinion as which to buy.. let me know. or if there are any other keyboards in the under 200 which are decent. thanks i appreciate it |

I have an Oxtgen 8. It was one of the older ones, when M-Audio was known as MIDIMAN. IT works fine for me. THe only problem I have is if it is inplugged, then plugged back in, you have to reinstall the driver. I don't know if that is just me though.
It works well. 2 octave keys, and 8 knobs and one slider. Good for just like, an at home studio. Get the Radium if you want more keys.
Overall the Oxy 8 is a fairly good keyboard. YOu can get them used one eBay for dirt cheap, or new for around $150 |

| Yes, they are around 150 new. Yes it is a great little controller. Personally I would definatly go for the radium rather than the oxygen, because having the extra keys is extremely useful for playing any sort of string pattern, eg RAnk1 stuff. Plus the Randium has more sliders(8) |
