Anyone played this? Perhaps a really long time ago? It came out when i was still messing with my dads PII - and runs considerably better on my comp today. well the peeps at:

Viper Racing GT Championship
have in many cases completely revamped the game. now you get to play as more than just the stock Viper - cars theyve added include the McLaren F1 and the Ferrari F40.
   
admittedly the environments arent beautiful as they are more than 5 years old - but the tracks simulate real racing lines, with bumps, washboards and a decently challenging design. of course new user created tracks have been created to various success, mostly they suffer from usability issues and fps issues, tho this is occasionally due to geometric complexity.
what i have been most impressed with is the new cars and the scalability of it all. you can get highly technical with car setup or set it on arcade and have something that plays well technically but offers the high speed fun of games like NFS or even Rush (to a certain degree).
Even more impressive is the group of individuals at VRGT that go online to participate in a GT championship within the game| |
