i think many people go thru a stage when they like HHC (often early-teen years), and then they realise trance is better, and years later they look at HHC and admit its absolute wank |

Happy Hardcore can be mixed with trancecore and freeform, and both contain several trancey elements. In such context, someone may take hhc as vocal trancecore (which would be funny as hell :p), so that's the trance they meant: trancecore.
Trancecore is good.
Freeform is good.
Some hhc is good.
