i have come down w/ a cold so i won't be able to attend. I would love to be able to come out to support peter and rich as they are amzing guys and great DJs.
i'm really surprised, however, that Pulse is not offering free list/a greater reduction- (5 bucks perhaps) prior to 11 (atleast). The TOTA's are extremely loyal to clubs that do this and will usually be spending a fair bit of $ at the bar. I think they will be missing out on bar revenue by not offerinag free early list-- some ppl would have liked to have come by early to support for a few hours so 10 bucks for a few hours isn't really worth it. As well as filling up the club early to show that there is 'something going on.' atleast 10 bucks before 12 (like the Guv who are often booking international headliners for the same cost). I'm not saying this to bash the event, on the contrary. I would be for sure willing to part with 10 bucks to support peter and rich, I just think that the marketing strategy could be improved so that more ppl would be coming out to see these awesome DJs. |

the 4:play promoters are the ones that have set it up so that it's $10 before 11 and then $15 after. We do not work for pulse and therefore do not recieve any money from them other then what we charge at the door..
the money at the door covers the cost for the dj's for the evening and helps with promotion. so when you come early and pay the $10 , be aware that you are helping the promotion companies out and you are supporting us :)
we dont' see any of the money from the bar.

I didn't realize that door/bar was separated that way. Hopefully that will encourage ppl to come out. I still think that it would encourage ppl to come out if it was say, 5 bucks before 11 and 10 til 12, 15 after..just considering that you are competeing w/ venues such as Guv. But what do i know? i'm not a promoter.
due to illness i won't be attending, but best of luck w/ the night. |
