Ahhh :(

Brisbane is for trance! Once in awhile we get a decent act @ 8 McLachen St, Valley. Club is called The Family. You don't need to know anything else, as other bars and chill out lounges are around there too.

Don't stay in the city coz its all rnb and rap and there is alot of white people pretending to be black and alot of arabs pretending to be italians :p

TimeZones

Australia is split up into 4-5 time zones, depending on the time of year (as we have Daylight savings in summer).

Here is a good spot to get the current time/zones for Australia.

Australia uses the Metric system(3 feet = 1 meter, 1 inch = 2.54 cms) and Celcius for the weather.

Temperature

20 degrees = 68f a converter can be found here

Sydney taxi's aren't as easy to get, but can be hailed down the same way. A Taxi with it's white light on means it's avaliable (something that I found different in asia).

Events in Australia (all Cities) click here . The link is updated daily by people in each state. It also gives a blurb, and sells tickets for some events.

*ripped from my other post*

Trance in Sydney, for uplifting and melodic is almost dead. Brands to keep an eye out for is Liberty, Halcyon, Josh and Friends, and Antlantis. For the harder styles, Gas and Sublime every Friday night are the places to go.

Musically, all the good clubs are in the city. To get the city, train or buses are fine. Taxis are pretty pricey.

Place worth seeing in Sydney, obviously the city down around Circular Quay and The Rocks is pretty amazing (down by the water and the old part of the city, the bridge and opera house are there also).

Bondi = Touristy beach, if you want some real beaches, I'll let waXology tell you, as I go to my local beach, about 30 mins drive from the city.

Going out for drinks in the city, it's a pub on every corner. A nice general location, where you'll get more of the local "classy" people is Cockle Bay. Areas just out the city that are pretty cool is/are Surry Hills, Paddington, Glebe, Balmain.

Work, www.seek.com.au MIGHT be able to help you out. I was talking to a backpaker this morning, who told me that people came to the hostel he was staying at offering people work. I'm not too sure on hostels, other then the YHA ones.
