Travelling/Clubbing/Holidaying in Australia

We used to run into snakes at camp all the time. Most times they'll hear you before you see them. You usually only see them as they suddenly slither away when they hear you approaching.

Lethal's Quick Fire Summary Of Aus's Cities....

What are you here for mainly??

Do you want the best beaches in aus, sunshine and a complete lack of Trance nightlife (though with apparently a heap of rnb, commercial e clubs) and a heap of pubs and beautiful people - if so go the gold coast...

If you want pretty much the exact same as described but with a few more clubs (only a few more) and a few more (a bit more then a few more) bogans - go brisbane.

If you want the most diverse city in aus, with SOME good beaches, pretty good weather, the largest number of pubs in the southern hemisphere, and some good trance, but at a VERY high cost - go sydney.

If you want the best clubbing in aus, NO beaches, NO sunshine, reasonable pricing, the premier sporting events and lots of diversity - go melbourne.

If you want warm temperatures, some good beaches, some good trance nights (though a very small community), a small city, but a thousand kilometers from anywhere else in aus - go perth.

If you want slightly better weather then melbourne but not up to sydney or perth, a cheap city, some trance, and Gumble - Go adelaide.

If you want porn, politics, pyrotechnics, pot, and freezing weather - go canberra.

That covers just about all the major cities... Have fun choosing!! :)

They're gonna have a hard time turning down the "Gumble" advantage of Adelaide, but I think clubbing integrity will prevail :)

Gumble, list us some of the highlights of Adelaide if you will - I've often thought of visiting but never really knew what to expect - except schnitzel everything.

hey peeps!!
g'day!
been looking for a new land to call my own even if for a bit. Considering doing my teacher's college training in your beautiful country ( Uk is the second choice )
Right now the choice is tween Melbourne and Sydney, leaning towards Melbourne as it sounds more diverse than Sydney altho I will miss the beautiful beaches that don't seem to be nearly as accessible as they would in Sydney.
One of the other universities is University of Monash that is 45 mins to 60 mins away from Melbourne. Can anyone give me first-hand knowledge on the two universities- University of Melbourne and University of Monash.
Finally- yeah i do need somewhere to stay :D so if any of your homes are available, let me know.....

last but not least of utmost importance- How is the electronica scene down under. in TO we can be guaranteed at least one big-enough name DJ at least every other week....

I can't imagine not dancing for a whole year.
