Cgy: FERRY CORSTEN& LISA LASHES???

ChadVanDyk
My two pennies:

RVG - Good set...too bad the place was empty and the one turntable had some issues. If we only had an opener like this at all shows.
FERR - Great two hours....not really any surprises...just solid through and through. Personal favs were Punk (oldie but a goodie), Velvet Morning, Circulation, Somebody and Crush.
LASHES - Lisa is Lisa.
CROWD - Main reason I like parties in Calgary...the crowd at our events are appreciative and knowledgable...some people are there just by chance but they fade into the back.
CLUB - The sound was good and I like that set-up better than the other way around...nice and intimate....good crowd interaction...some room to move.

All in all a good time.

Wicked set by Ferry and Lisa was disappointingly plain. Ah well... Danced in front of the stage for almost all of Ferry's set. Had lots of great tracks and finished her off with some Gouryella as an encore. Wicked!
The coolest part of the night was when Ferry was down on the floor chatting with people and taking and signing pics. I managed to get a pic with him and chatted with him for a bit. What a great DJ!! Totally down to earth and easy to talk to.

WOW.. Ferry was amazing.. Absolutely loved the nite... I bailed out on Lisa... this was the 3rd time i have seen her in 9-10 months... so I didn't really miss to much..

Doesn't get much better than smack dab middle right against the stage.. :D Even got to shake Ferry's hand..

Ferry's set was good (I still like Armin @Cowboys more :p) and I had a great time. The last bit of Ferry's set from punk on was just insane. Ending with Ligaya was also too good...Then I hear Lisa's OONCE OONCE OONCE hardhouse come in and it disgusts me. Anyway had a great time. Makes me wish we had a big show every week.
