okay...club scene in ny? well...i can only speak for manhattan, and only clubs that play trance...cuz why the would i go clubbing for any other reason?
start off with...there used to be more trance clubs but last yr or so, a couple of them got closed down cuz the US govt. started cracking down on the whole drug scene...and it being related to edm and . i wud say that now...general clubs which have any decent trance events would be roxy, arc...and possibly krowbar (or is it spelled crowbar? no..i think it's with a k..anyway). roxy is an okay club. arc is a club purely for music because it doesn't even have an alcohol licence so they dun sell alcohol. krowbar is the new club that opened jus at the end of last year...around december or something...so its really new. therefore...its also really packed. BUT...its ing huge, the lights are incredible and so forth. they hav different nites and i dunno how often they do trance nites...but u may want to check that out.

ok...to be honest with you i love the nyc night life...but, it has died since they closed down all the great clubs like the historic twilo:( , tunnel and limelight..
the only venue that is doing trance gigs are the roxy which is a huge club like jp said..:) you wouldn't want to go to sound factory, unless ur gay. it has turned into a gay crowd ever since they b00t jonathan peters out of the saturday spot and im place of junior vasquez which catters to a gay following.
i mostly hit lounges like deep, lotus, cheetah etc etc... avalon , the old limelight should have a good lineup around the end of january for example mauro picotto on the 31st and then ferry on the 28th of feb..NOW DON'T FORGET IF YOU ARE IN THE CITY ON FEB 27TH , DONT YOU MISS PVD AT THE ROXY :D heh...
arc is an underground scene with no alcholic beverages whatsoever...if your an alcoholic, this is not a place to go.
you might want to hit crobar! you might love that place....
new york city will be a very diff , adventure for you....yes, it will be diff from what you are accustomed there in england coz the scene is very diff...we over here catters to house music, yet over there trance is huge and hardstyle...so you really can't compare. if you have an open mind, then you will have a BLAST.
