DanceStar’s 2003 Best US DJ SANDRA COLLINS makes a special appearance at Avaland. With over 13+ years of experience, Sandra has risen to the superstar DJ level and is often regarded as the “goddess of trance” but never limits her sound to such. She creates a seamless landscape of sound and sets the mood for an explosive full-on-night. From her early days as a rave DJ on the west coast, Sandra has went on to tour the world and released albums on the best labels including “Tranceport 3” on Kinetic inaugurated by Paul Oakenfold and she was the first American and only female DJ featured on the Cream compilation mix series. Ever the prolific artist, Sandra will release her next mixed CD on the “Perfecto Presents…” series next month, as well as star in “Girl,” a documentary about female DJs.
BRAD COPELAND may be a new name & face to NYC but he is a young, rising star in the Canadian dance music scene. His residency at after-hours club Stereo in Montreal, his impeccable mixing, his tough and pumping sound, and his energy as a performer has led many including; Sander Kleinenberg, Hybrid & Max Graham to all herald him as the “Best Undiscovered DJ” in DJ magazine’s Top 100 issue. Since Brad has played alongside such luminaries as Digweed & Tiesto, while helming a bi-monthly residency with Sander Kleinenberg and is currently on tour with Sandra Collins on her Perfecto tour and throughout the US & Canada, we gather he won’t be undiscovered for too long.
