why has this started happening?
its only been in the last few years that toss-biscuits have started sticking faux snowdrops & ing santas sleighs on their roofs. Round here in Lincolnshire where peoples lives are mundane and generally pointless this has been springing up all over, houses lit up like catastrophic dog beacons of single minded edness.
and its always on in' council estates where they do it, as if they havent got enough bills with their smack habits and Sky TV every month, they go and whack an extra £50+ on the leccy bill. (no offence to anyone who lives on a council estate, just that it tends to happen there, im stereotyping a bit with the smack accusations too, but what the heck!)
why bother?
opinions please... id like to read a calla post on this topic : )
are you an imbecile? do you feel the need to spend hundreds of pounds of the taxpayers money on pointless plastic artefacts of christmassy e that will enhance your life not one iota, whilst severing relations even further with neighbours and easily frightened small animals? if so the Kilroy team would like to speak to you now! dial 01472345552 |

I read that and thought he'd been at what Ste had :wtf:
but yeah tacky towns spring up in the festive season. I dont mind the odd tree covered in fairy lights and the majority of high street lights, but houses like this must contribute to global warming.

I think it would be spiffing to set up a nice underground movement for the defaecation of such establishments.
You see an offending house entirely bejewelled in the finest range of crimbo illuminaries Woolworths can muster, you walk quietly up to the front door, and take a nice poo, and walk away.
Nothing is said, it just starts to be noticed that the gaudiest houses are the tiest.
That is all. |

| It’s all American crap. I don’t care if they have nothing to do with it but they are still getting the blame for it. Halloween is also progressively turning more and more into American bull sh*t as the years go by. |

Nope,
You are totallly right we(americans) are to blame... Dont feel bad about calling it our fault (not that you were)
This goes on here every year, and is worse every year, and theres nothing I can do but have considered just cutting the wires on the more obnoxious ones...The big thing now is to have singing reindeers, santas, etc....the noise goes on all night and is definitely deserving of some extreme vandalism
:whip:
My least favorite time of year in the states as we see how stupidly money is spent...some of these houses decorated similar to Misty Kitty's pic must spend $1000 on this crap.
And now I am going to hide inside for the rest of the season so as to not get arrested defacing random santas and snowmen. :) |
