well, i just got back from a meeting with my friends. lunch, drinks, the regular. well, i noticed that Nvidia came out with new drivers for their cards about 2 months ago. I downlaoded it and i had no problems. my CS still runs at a solid 60 fps, and i noticed that my splinter cell's framerate was just a bit improved.
anyways, nvidia's come up with some code called ForceWare. Like i said, i had no problems with it. however, my friends are telling me that they LOST performance from the update. One friend said that his games stall every couple of minutes. he'll be playing and then there will be this 1 second pause, and then it continues. It happened online as well as using PodBot.
my other friend says his framerate went from 100 to 60. for this, i'm just guessing the drivers reset the (i believe) monitor refresh or something like that, but u never know. anyone had similar problems with updated driver, especially with the induction of the almighty "forceware"....? |

| The series 50 Detonator (Forceware) set offers sizeable performance gains in key areas. My only warning is that they dont seem quite 'together' just yet - for example, they manage to turn BF1942 into a psychedelic quilt of brightly coloured textures and missing polygons. So if ur a BF player, keep a hold of ur series 40 Detonators until an update.:whip: |
