florida marlins win world series!

after a tense game 6 at yankee stadium, the florida marlins have come out on top to record their second world series victory. in a tense game that ended 2-0 to the marlins, the yankee's never really got going and sealed their own fate. the win for the marlins has come as a shock for everyone, as the marlins wern't even expected to make the post season, let alone get to the final AND beat the yankee's in their own ball park to win the world series and all that with a wage bill of only $78 million (yankees have wage bill of $185 million). also the marlins young pitcher josh becket has wont the mvp (most valuable player) award, and all with a manager who is 72, older then any baseball manager in the AL and Nl league history.so on that note....GO MARLINS!

Good game by Beckett, he dominated. Honestly, it didn't matter to me who won since all I wanted was for the Red Sox and the Cubs to NOT win it.
Congratulations Flordia. When the playoffs started I was thinking, why the hell are the Marlins in this? They don't deserve to be here.
Now I'm thinking that they sure deserved to win the World Series because they played their hearts out.
Watching the celebration really showed me how much the players really love the game. |

| im glad the marlins won. the yankee's are so popular and r always expected to win so i love it when they lose :toothless: im looking for a team to start surporting. i think i might go with the braves. i liked watching them and they dont win all the time so its a good team to surport i think :) |

Been a strong Braves fan over the years. I got sick and tired watching them go down in playoffs early year after year ... Next year - NO MORE EXCUSES. They either win the World Series, or fail to make the playoffs (and win the 13th straight division title) and will be replaced by another team in my #1 spot. I've been a Braves fan for many years, and they way I see it, they haven't had a good run since 1997 ... with an exception of 99. |
