Looks like I'm going to Spooky - need advice

avikonen
Hey fellow party people :)

I was really looking forward to Max Graham but I heard the news....

So I'm thinking Spooky is my best bet - I've never seen Rank1 or Thrillseekers.

Got a couple questions that I hope some folks can answer for me:

Should I buy tickets in advance? If so, how when I'm not anywhere near NorthWest America? Also, I am wondering if the VIP tickets are worthwhile. What benefits do they offer me? I'm in Van for holiday so I can afford it if it's worthwhile. I want to have a lot of fun ;)

If I get to the event around 11, will I have a problem getting in?

Will they be serving alcohol and food there? Dancing all night can make you hungry.

What is the smoking policy? Can I smoke inside the venue?

Will there be a coat check or how cold will it get?

Any other pieces of advice about Spooky or the scene?

Thanks in advance for any help :) Any Toronto TA's going to be there? FWIW as I know this may come up, I was in Toronto for PVD@Guv and I'm seeing him again in New York City on Nov 14. He'll rock it in Seattle, I'm sure! But I'd rather hear folks I've never seen before. Besides, I've never gone to a rave/club in Van. :D

Buy tickets in advance if you can, if for no other reason than to save $5 - $10.

You shouldn't have many problems getting there at 11, but Twisted shows usually have a pretty long line-up. Expect to wait around 30 minutes.

There won't be alcohol and I seriously doubt you can smoke inside the venue (though since it's in Chilawack I'm not really sure). There should be coat check.

As for other advise, uh, be prepared to party with a lot of little kids, and a lot of people that have no clue about the music =P

yes, get your ticket in advance
check mytelus.com for bassix, boomtown, on deck and give them a call to check about tickets (i know there are more other places that sell tickets, cant think of any right now)

i doubt there would be any more vip tickets left. usually they get you drinking water and access to vip room.

getting there around 11 shouldnt be a problem, the event goes until 7am'ish so you'll have lots of time to get in, but dont take my word on it :D

there is no alocohol at raves, only water, possibly soda as well. i'm not sure if they'll have food or not, summer love did

i was told that this is going to be indoors so they'll probably have a small area outside for smoking.

no coat check at raves

other advice: be ready to see some fcked up people there. bring cash, water is expensive. and have fun :)
