A manager can then decide to ban him from the bar and post the ban on the system.

This is what I don't like. Let's say you happen to be standing near some people when a fight breaks loose. You get pushed in the process and the manager decides to red-flag everyone who was involved. Now you have that on your record even though you weren't involved at all. The system is flawed if you ask me.

And yeah, Elena I'm with you on them selling our information for marketing. They shouldn't be allowed to force anyone to give more information than your name and age.

This is a total violation of privacy. I don't even see the point of this, why would they want to call up your personal history? As long as you're legal drinking age, what difference does it make to them whether you've been in fights or not? I use a Massachusetts ID which has no magnetic strip and can't be scanned by any clubs, but like apri said, what if this makes it so you need a BC ID to get into a club? That's really unfair and it'll inconvenience people who are just here to visit...

I don't like this. Its just another method of controlling us. It just creeps me out personally.

i guess as long as places like commodore, sonar, the rage and viva dont go for the system, its all good. other places dont usually have any decent nights, so its not a huge deal, i guess
