imo Gielen is an exceptional producer. So much quality work, with tracks like Velvet Moods, Airscape remix of Silence, S&G remix of Dreaming Of You, Twisted, L'esperanza, and recent remix of After All... he is very talented in the studio. As far as DJing goes (and this is not nearly as important as his production) I have heard some downright shocking sets from him. Generally not well-structured, pulling the most conflicting tracklistings out his arse, not to mention more than he fair share of galloping and trainwrecks. Admittedly I haven't indulged myself in any of his sets recently, I guess because first impressions last. Any recommendations? I'll be interested in feedback on his set at Kryal in the near future.

well thats sad rem cos my first impression of gielens dj'ing prowess was from TE 2002. the tunes in that set are sweet nuts and i didnt care too much to harp on the flaws, perhaps you could just focus more on the songs themselves or perhaps you could not. it's up to you, you know what you feel. :sadgreen:

i dunno what i meant either
