mmk, so i finally got around to playing dark cloud (the first one). at first, i was quite interested in it, played it nonstop... once i got to the end of the second town, however, i discovered that in fact, the ENTIRE rest of the game was a repeat of this dungeon crawling/town building, i lost interest quickly. good idea, but it needs something else.
so, i was debating buying dark cloud 2. anyone played it? is it the same as the first, but with prettier graphics? |

| My brother rented it quite a few times... the graphics looked pretty nice, but the game is a bit more detailed... Has an interesting-looking item creation system. And although it doesn't have a Xenosaga-level story, it looked like there was at least something there. It's still a bit of a dungeon crawler though, but it may be worth it to rent. It got a lot of good marks... |

| If u want a real BAD ASS dungeon crawler game, u should get Grandia Extreme, not Dark Cloud ;) |
