Ok, so its 2:30 and I have another hour before my last class so I figure I'll just diddle around with the internet, maybe read some of my History book, who knows.
Just curious if anyone else on the boards goes here; I know a few go to UBC (at least I think some of you do).
It's my first year, and I'm basically doing some General Studies. So far it's been ok, although you reallllly have to make an effort to know people, which is a definite change from Highschool where it seemed like everyone was friends with everyone.
So yea, the bus sucks, although I have this expensive routine of burning a new cd for every day which kind of makes it better.

Yea theres still some construction, I get the feeling that its been going on for...well, a long time.
I was kind of disapointed in the clubs day or whatever, I got the impression that there would be super fabulous clubs, but theres just the usual. Although I did get preached to by an anti-tuition girl and that got exciting

"Road up to the hell" or do you mean up to the hill?
No idea who are the TAs at UBC. There's me, Sean and don't know who else... |

hheh who does she think will pay her tuition! UofT used to have a lot of communists, or Markist-Lenninists, or whatever, but I think that most of them have failed out. They would want to give you one of their pamphlets called "the workers voice" or some crap... plus they would always be wearing these crazy outfits consisting of tweed robes and bare feet... it was pretty funny.
anyways I didn't want to rip on SFU, since I don't know firsthand what it's like... but the stories are always so discouraging. I know my step brother was at 'douggie daycare' for 3 years before going to SFU. he's all psyched that he's at SFU and out of that hole, so I guess it can't be that bad |
