okay i opened up my ps2 one day to play soul calibur 2 when all of a sudden an error message said all my soul calibur 2 data in my memory card was CORRUPT...and when i tried to continue all the weapons and characters i got were lost...what could've caused this...maybe because it got overheated, i let my friend burrow it for the night but he said he didn't touch the memory card or mess with it
what if i were to buy a whole new memory card and transfer the corrupted data from the originla one to the new one...would that solve the problem? any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated |

| Have you tried to blow any dust that might be in the memory card? |

Hmm...I can't really help you. But, I've accidently left one of my PS2 memory cards in my pants pocket before and my mom washed it...still works fine & all the data was there!
That proved to me that the offical cards are an EXCELLENT product. |

| you can also try buying those memory card usb connectors to your pc, most likely will have to get it import though. why not just reach the saved lvl again, and save it on a new memory card. |

Did you turn the power off/reset or open the disc tray while the PS2 was accessing the card?
Interruption of the read/write session on console memory cards is the most common reason for data corruption.
I don;t know if you can recover your data but I would guess that it is likely you wil have to start over.
Sorry.
