Has anyone else had problems with slsk this week?? i had numerous disconections and now its saying there is a "temporary problem with my name resolution service."
anyone offer some insight???:( :( |

This is true, but the forums for things like DC aren't exactly helpful. So how else do we find help??
As for Daiser, I get the same problem sometimes. Not really much you can do about it other than wait 'til 2moro and try again. (If anyone asks, I didn't say anything :p) |

PS - The sharing of files is not in itself illegal... it has the potential to be used illegally by sharing copyright protected music. Assuming that every person using a file-sharing service, talking about a filesharing service is using it for illegal purposes is contrary to fundamental legal principles underlying the common law traditions of most western countries. No court would ever convict you for simply using a file-sharing service, not to mention allowing people to talk on your forum about file sharing software... (I'm assuming it is legal reasons that have spurred this recent discouragement of filesharing-related discussion on TA... if I am mistaken I apologise). |

Not on tranceaddict.com forums, sounds harsh but thats the way it is, if we did apear to offer infomation about file sharing etc it would a) attract attention from legal people (yeah there may be no issue but beter safe than sorry) and more importantly b) it will just attact leechers who sign up just for locations where to download files.
There are a number of other sources of help, irc chan's news groups (try www.deja.com a good news group search site) and other websites (www.google.com is a usefull tool) |
