San Tran Wash Up...........

What can I say???? San Tran totally out did itself on Friday nite at Room. Rocked up a little bit later than I wanted to but at about 2am, as I had to play at bass. When I got there I was pleasantly suprised. The boys only had one weekend to promote it and when I arrived the place was packed to the rafters, about 500 people (roughly) all rocking, whistles and all.

Matt Crawford was banging out the anthems in true san tran style.
Cant really remember that many tunes that he played but he was rocking it pretty hard. Next up was Mark James, who also played a stellar 99' styled set full of anthems.

anthems from the night included:

Systme F - Out of the Blue
Underworld - Born Slippy
Binary Finary - 1999
Camisra - Let me show you
Agnelli & Nelson - Everyday
Gouryella - Gouryella
Nightstalkers - Enjoy Yourself
Dumonde - Tomorrow

I might need some help with the tunes played as I can't remember any more at the moment. Was an awesome night, peobably one of the best I've been to in a while in terms of crowd vibe.

Heaps of the 5AM crew were there in support, bigs up to Duncan, Jizza, Leah (hope you feeling better matey), Flaming_V, M, Benji etc.

Congrats to Steve and Albert on putting together such a great party. Decor, atmosphere, people, all stellar!!

Matty Crawford & Mark James displayed some amazing dj'ing skills & brought the choons to rock da house!!
Thoroughly enjoyed Dj Kat's set too. (I never thought i'd hear Kat play Night Train!)
San Tran goes from strength to strength, many old skoolers saying they havent heard such good music in ages. Good mixture of young uns too. When you look at the diversity in the crowd, it shows trance still has a broad appeal.
San Tran is 5AM's mother, since it was the San Tran idea that gave birth to 5AM. :tongue2

Yeah SanTran was awesome, possibly better tunes played at the last one in my opinion, but it was a far from disappointing night.

I loved Mark James' (I think) Camisra & PVD - for an angel Mash-up. Was awesome.

And Jules, I'm disappointed in you, matt crawford played Binary Finary 1999 and half way through he mixed it into Kontakt - Show Me A Sign (Instrumental), a binary finary remake from this year. It was awesome, he did it during a breakdown and no-one noticed, well except a few of us :p

My fav moment was sarah and pete (and lew?) rocking up just as skydive came on, talk about timing :D
