Some tunes are great with vocals, others where its tacked on sound crap. Ferry Corsten - Punk is even an example. The original Funk Einsatz version (another Ferry pseudonym that was put on it when released as promos back in about 2001) didn't have "Digital Punk......Digital Punk...Digital Punk", even that detracts from the track! Tiesto - Urban Train another (but then i hate Kirsty Hawkshaw). Even the Choir version of Suburban train was going close, despite what others say I didn't think it added to the track.
I do have to agree though I have noticed this with quite a few Darren Tate tracks, a few times I've wished for the track with no vocals. |

I don't think vocals are the problem, I think it's just Darren Tate. Sorry to say guys.
Other producer's seem to nail vocals quite well....why can't he.

well it's simply my general observation as a listener of all music. I don't think he makes good use of the vocal (or it could quite possibly be the wrong vocalist for his tunes). But it's my opinion and that is that.
Too bad you disagree, but at the end of the day personal opinions and biases can cloud judgement of good bad, right or wrong.
