Hello everyone,
It's that time once again for the next Trancendence special event at The
Inferno, coming up soon, on Friday August 22nd!
This time around features a headlining DJ from Milwaukee, Moana Lisa
(www.female_pressure.net, www.djmoanalisa.com) who is no stranger to Madison, having played here many times before, most notably rocking out the crowds at Divine @ The Angelic.
For this event, Lisa will be bringing out some more of her harder edged trance material to rock the Inferno crowd!

Like the extra "a" in her name adds a unique, sensual spin to a classic, DJ
Moana Lisa's music creates a unique, sensual - nearly sexual - bond between
artist and her music and the people that listen and dance to it.
Living and working in Milwaukee, Wis., Moana Lisa infuses her influence into
the city's club scene. She is the promotions director for PURE NIGHT CLUB in
Milwaukee and playes other venues throughout the Midwest.
In Moana Lisa's own words: "I spin progressive trance, it has some house
flavors to it at times depending on the crowd and the vibe. It keeps it
funky, it keeps the floor moving." At 33, Moana Lisa brings maturity and
depth that is often missing in the younger set. Drawing upon personal
experiences, she can read a crowd and use music to move them. Her first foray
into the party scene was in 1997, when she co-hosted a bash called Alien
Acres, held inside a giant barn in an Indiana cornfield.
Moana Lisa has followed that event with bushels of hard work, which has put
her on stage with the likes of Noel Sanger, Colette, Mea, Lego, Derrick
Carter, Mark Verbos, Teri Bristol, Johnny Fiasco, Dave Aude', Grant Plant,
Benji Candelario, and David Alvarado. The hard work has also put Moana Lisa
on the decks for Diskotech at Milwaukee's Summerfest, the world's largest
music festival which won Pollstar's 2001 Music Festival of the Year Award.
While club gigs generate the bulk of Moana Lisa's schedule, she still holds a
soft spot in her heart for parties and places she can intimately explore the
deeper side of her trance fetish.
"Progressive trance has such a sensual, sexual feeling. It's not music that
an everyday Joe is listening to. It is the music that connoisseurs are
listening to."

Doors open at 9:00pm, with no cover from 9-10:00pm (only $4 after 10:00pm.)
