Working in a games shop? *ponders*

I used to work in an airconditioned design studio on the third floor overlooking Liverpool St Station with twins on reception. Five thirty in the afternoon was such a pleasant time of day in the summer.

The internet boom rocked.

I spent my entire school and college life working in a small independent Jap/US import game shop (and failing school and college :)) and I couldnt have been happier although it was very, very expensive. My japanese Dreamcast cost me £700 (not inc games, extra pad, memory units and a big new tv to play it all on), although I did manage to get one the day before Japanese launch ;).

Go werk in the games shop. Get extremely good at Quake 3.

This also happened as I was in the top Quake 3 clan in the Uk although I did it all for fun and not really seriously. I was just (and still am :)) fooking good.

Everyone still got prize money though :)

This, unfortunatly never happened, although my girlfriend has never once complained at the extreme agileness of my fingers ;)

Then I discovered clubbing, class a drugs and casual sex and hence the geek days ended.

There is enuff time in any fellas life for clubbing, ladies and counterstrike. You just picked the wrong game. It could have been such a happy future.

:tongue3

Just dont forget there is enough time in a ladies life for Trance, Clubbing and Men.... most likely in that order unless they come hand in hand. :stongue:
