If there are any fans of the band TOOL on these forums then you must be aware of A Perfect Circle. APC is TOOL frontman Maynard James Keenan's side project. Their new album "Thirteenth Step will be released on 9/16/03. Their new single is called "Weak and Powerless" it can be heard on the bands website www.aperfectcircle.com All I have to say is that the album is going to own !

Tool is my favorite metal band and APC was very awesome on their first CD. I heard the new single and I can't wait 'till the new album comes out.

TOOL and APC are quality rock bands. All their songs are masterpieces. The world could use more bands like them. New bands these days seem so "pre-packaged" and lack depth.

Yeh what I love about tool is the move away from the standard verse-chorus verse-chorus format which keeps it unpredictable & involing over the entire track...often spanning more than your usual 4 minute mark.

I'm waiting for someone to bring this into trance. The predictable build-up break-down, build-up break-down format is so uninspiring at times with uplifting/melodic trance.

I disagree I would say this one is a little harder than their first album. Listen to track 7 "the outsider" and track 10 "pet" they are both a hell of a lot harder than any of their previous work. They do have some mellow tracks on there just like their previous album. All in all I give the album 9/10. It's really good so if you are lookin for some quality rock definately pick this one up.
