| I happen to be 16 and a long time follower of pretty much all electronica since about 12, havent been to a rave yet, cant get a relatively good fake ID down here in New Orleans and i dont think the scene is pretty big around here anyway (i may be showing my ignorance). So what im asking is how did u older fellows get in during the golden years? |

Ummm well, the whole concept of a "rave" is that it's an illegal party of sorts thrown in some warehouse, field, paintball arena, whatever, in which case it's an all ages event where kids as young as 13 or 14 can get in. So if you want to go to raves in your area check out hyperreal.org or go to your local headshop or whatever and look for flyers. If you want to actually experience good trance music in a club then you're pretty much out of luck until you're 18. |

i dunno whats the deal with this noob bashing ordeal. I for one, am into underground hip hop as well and devote half of my internet time to checking out those boards. I dont post much becuz i dont really have to say, and i'd rather not post any of those smileys for anyone's amusement.
i think age does matter just cuz younger people havent been alive for as long and might have missed some of the golden oldies so to speak. |

wow. i had a realy diff concept about raves.
here raves do require you to look at least near 18 or
they wont sell you a ticket, and the e-tardation is
a lot more discreet. we dont have those uberflashy candy
kids wearing a million colors, going PLUR, sure, there
are a bunch of druggies, but till now all the druggies
i know are all actually very into the music. the drugs
of course are a big plus for them, but theyd be there
even without the drugs (theyd be sad, but theyd be there).
sure, we have our plague here, and its bascially a
scene riddled with posers who cant tell deep dish from
DJ sammy. its really annoying when i cant go to a good
rave/club event, (i missed Steve Porter for example)
and a preppy pretty boy teeny bopperish guy from my sis's
class goes just cause he is rich and has his own driver.
