aus aktuellem anlass: emc hub macht dicht

I'm afraid I have some sad news. Due to the lack of
financial resources and time (being a student) I cannot
possibly maintain the server anymore and may have to
shut down the EMC Hub. I really appreciate the support
I've received so far, especially from the donors above.
That support went a long way in helping me keep EMC
running for nearly 1.5 years (since January 2002).

Now this isn't entirely sad news. Alternative
Hubs like EMC exist. Once the server is shut down,
emc.arcobizz.com will redirect you to Oldo's Hub, which
consistently has 300-400 users connected at any one time.
While it may not have some of the benefits of a private Hub
such as EMC, you will notice that the increased capacity and
reduced lag of the public Hub is very advantageous. This
"merger" would most likely result in a Hub that shares over
twenty terabytes (think 20,000 gigabytes) and has more
than 700 users connected at any one time.

But EMC does not necessarily have to end here. The entire
database of members will be kept until a new server to host
the Hub surfaces. EMC welcomes anyone who wishes to volunteer a
high-speed server to help host the Hub. Please e-mail
me at emc@arcobizz.com if you are interested and would like more
information.

If you have ANY comments regarding the situation explained
in this notice, please e-mail me at emc@arcobizz.com. This
includes any questions, your thoughts about the situation,
and if you have any suggestions.

The planned time for EMC to relocate all its members to
Oldo's essentialsets.net is at 11:59 PM EDT, Sunday, July 6, 2003.

Thanks and I hope all is understood,
Chris

Du brauchst Dich also in keinem Fall neu registrieren.
