GK THE SECOND COMING
Three years ago the mighty GODSKITCHEN wowed clubland when they launched the most technologically advanced club in the world - CODE. Now they are re-writing the rule book and once again setting new standards. This is year zero for weekly clubbing and Godskitchen are setting the bench mark.
On 18th July 2003 CODE will close it's doors forever...for two months the GK boys will set about one of the biggest development projects clubland has ever seen. Set to open in September, on the site where CODE now stands a brand new venue will be unveiled. The existing CODE structure will be gutted and transformed into a even more breathtaking spectacle. Bringing a new venue to the British clubbing scene, nothing will stay the same, not even the name.. Godskitchen have set the plans in motion for the ultimate party play pen...better sound systems, vastly different décor and even more rooms!
Just in time to celebrate their third birthday at the site where CODE now stands Godskitchen will unwrap the new luxurious venue on September 26th as the perfect birthday present to their faithful hordes of clubbers.
Commenting on the new venue Chris Grifffin and Neil Moffitt said: ŒWe have always prided ourselves in staying one step ahead of the game both musically and aesthetically. When we launched CODE it was the best there could be but times change and so must we. We have always wanted to deliver an extraordinary experience to clubbersŠwe did it at The Sanctuary, we did it in Ibiza, we did it at CODE and we will do it again now! Everything is going to change, the light, the sound, the music diversity and the building itselfŠwhen it is finished it will blow your mind¹
A competition in conjunction with clubbing bible MIXMAG will be held to rename the ultimate clubbing venue - truly making it a clubbers club.
Ripped word for word off the passion forum posted by the site owner.
I welcome this, code is, what they say, the worst club ive ever been to, its like a graveyard for atmosphere, 'clubbers' are mostly beer boys, so lets see! |

Well as they say they want to keep ahead of the competition, and a lot of people have said about how crap code is. And yes it has brilliant air conditioning and an amazing sound system. But i would agree the atmosphere cna be lacking. Although when i went to see armin and pvd it was rammed, and the atmosphere, i thought, was brilliant.
But it could be a lot better. I think they could fill it more as well, they have to turn people away, and thats not good for any club. So hopefully it will be bigger and better.
Hopefully this shows trance clubs arent dying out if they can afford to splash out on this.
And they are being clever, doing it over the summer months when most peeps r in ibiza or other places on holidays, and clubs can be a bit empty.
Will look forward to seeing what they do with the club :D |
