warcraft 3: i need tips

i am having such a hard time adjusting to this game as i am a veteran from Starcraft. Does anyone have tips on how to start each round? i can never build units in time to fend off the computer's first attack. :(

Yea just watch replays and learn all the tricks, which creeps to go for first etc.

Get TillermaN, CrazyAssassin, or Kain the Feared ones, start off with NE and learn the basics etc. Its the best race to start of with.

Make replays of your bnet games and see how u lost , or how u can improve etc..

play LOTS of 1v1 ladder to start; just keep playing and stay the f uck away from team games till you get good in 1v1 ladder

btw, this game is a retarded attempt to make it as strategically deep as SC/BW which has failed miserably, here's to hoping the expansion adds this much needed depth

personally i wouldnt recommend you starting with NE
my friend started with NE and its a really difficult race to play
