| I was wondering how long does cd keep the data in it. on cd-r's how long the data can be accesible. |

| if looked after - indefinetly, make sure you use good quality brand name cdr's and cdrw'd , keep the cd's are kept in a sturdy (not some of the cheeper ones you can get, defo not a felexable one) plastic case and in a place where they wont get damp, and no direct sunlight and they will last at least for your life time |

Stay away from the BASF/EMTEC CD-R's & CD-RW's!!!
Most of the BASF CD's I've burned, has started to fall apart..
It has nothing to do with how I store them, because I have other CD-R brands that are in perfect condition... |

Yeah, the brand of the record and quality matters more than the storing but if u have good CD-Rs/CD-RWs, u should store them also well to keep them in working condition for years to come. Keep them away from sunlight, moisture, magnets, dust,.. |
