tbf if you're gonna move the date back move it to October.. 'WHAT!?' I hear you cry........ for this reason : The Unis have closed up for the summer and all the students are gonna be going home over the next month..... No students = No punters = Bad for us.
However in October a whole new batch of freshers will be starting jsut dieing to blow their student loans n go partying. I think it's no coincidence Gods/ GC birthday are late september. |

some problems :p
1) we are restricted to where we can get a venue for free.. this means taking what is given to us really :(
2) im sick to the back teeth of moving dates back lol.. this was originally planned for february, its now june and we still have 3 weeks to promote..? :)
3) will sound of eden be happy with us moving dates again? and/or are they happy going to blackpool? to be fair this place in blackpool (if its the place i am thinking) is a damn good venue.. the only problem with it is that people that we want there (i.e. mates) probably wont be able to get there easily. but we can do a toby, and tell them that if they dont come then they arnt our friends :p
4) even if we leave it til october, we still aint gunna get any name that is going to get ppl in on the lineup.. so is it really worth waiting?
5) sam: passion :p:) i really dont care who is playing elsewhere, part of the reason we havent already done this night is because of other line-ups at other clubs.. its time that we didnt give a about it ;)
IMO we aint gonna lose anything if we dont get so many people in as we havent payed anything for it.. so why not do one now if we can, then do another in october/november if all goes to plan? we would probably be able to get a venue in a more accessible place by then too. and if all goes incredibly well, then we could have two venues and interchange frequently :p:) that might be wishful thinkin tho :stongue: |

Well im with jeff. We have held events in my home town in a small venue, gettin about 150 people in. Usually give it about 2 weeks for advertising it.
Most of the people who go will be, well us lot. The only disadvantage is we cant spread the word in blackpool as easily. And im sure sheffield would have got people coming coz they have heard rumours from mates.
Anyway i think we should try and stick with the date. Get the expereince of one event, and then really work on another.
Coz im realy starting to think if we dont do it soon it just wont happen.
So organisers, make it happen, and we will support it. Bring mates etc. If everyone brings like 3 mates thats a lot of people.
So im sure we can get a decent crowd :D |
