Due to recent events and attitudes amongst some consider this night for the time being - cancelled !
I aint giving up on this thou and Jeff, Luke and Dave will play at an event in the neae future but with the current in fighting and slagging off of certain ppl - i am not happy about this and am fed up that all the work i have put into this so far is not appreciated.

i knew this would happen once all that pm stuff n thread where made, how about you select people a few 'responsable' people to help with the running etc and not leave it to everyone |

| I still think this can happen so we've hit some problems doesnt mean we should give up i reckon if we get together properly we can still get something sorted and try and make this work, otherwise i can see us still planning ukta night when we're 80 odd, ukta night july 2060 woohoo |

dont get me wrong here mate, all the work uve put into this is muchos appreciated.. but u should have discussed the dj money thing here (or at least posted saying so instead of getting ste to edit the thread) - see my post in the other thread for my point of veiw on the whole mess :)
dont use the word cancel, or even postpone. weve come too far now to do it again. im sure i speak for everyone when i say that we want this to happen on july 12th. we can sort this out :)
but either way what ever happens im up for playing, whether it be this year or 2060 :p:) |

Well Neo i urge you to reconsider. I think the people who know you pretty well realised after seeing certain decision and posts by people that this would be the conclusion.
Well i think we all appreciate your efforts. And it would be a shame to cancel the event or post pone it. We have a date and i hope we cna stick to that. Most things r sorted, posters, equipment. Only the line up has been under question.
I think you have organised events before, and i know kuffdam has. So i think we should let you organise this. We have jeff and harry helping with equipment and advertising.
Now i think we need to hand over the running to a select few. At the end of the day we need a few spokespeople (ill be politically correct :p) to have total control to minimise arguments and disagreements.
Well i think ste and jeff run this forum pretty well, and with a mature approach. Why not let all decisions be decided by say jeff, ste, Neo. I think that would be a good idea. And we all cna obviously discuss the idea and voice our oppinions. But their view is final.
Basically there are around 40+ active ukta members, and a business wouldnt have that many MD's for exactly the reasons that have developed.
Well hopefully we can have a system that works. Get this up and running and make it a success. If it fails, then oh well, atleast we tried. But if it works then future nights can be planned and more ukta's can spin.
I think a lot of us are really looking forward to this night. It will be a good chance to get all of us together, and from meet up its will be a huge success im sure.
Well i hope july 12th still goes ahead :D |
