Canucks Playoff Thread

I can't handle waiting this long between games damnit!!!

I'm hoping for a more aggressive performance from the Canucks this time around, but just as disciplined as game 3.

Whats the deal with the 2 day break, and game 5 on Monday?

Before the playoffs even began, there was an event scheduled @ the Xcel Energy center for the Thursday, hence no game.

That game was FUGLY to the max.

Bertuzzi's hit should NOT have been a penalty, Mitchell saw him coming from a mile away and decided to test his luck and see if he could survive Bert's 255+ pound frame slamming into him. Mitchell had it coming anyways, the Wild players were pushing him around all night, and the fans booed everytime he touched the puck, and cheered everytime he got rocked.

The penalty after that (to Zhyzuhin[sp?]) was really lame...that also should NOT have been a penalty...damn refs ruining the game. Even though it gave the Canucks the tie, and eventually the win, I hate it when a game is decided by the Zebra's...I know how disgustipated the Minnesota fans feel.

Fernandez and Cloutier played well...so did Gaborik. No one person on the Canucks really shined, but they all contributed in their way. Cooke and Ruutu were being their usual pests, so was May but only for the first period. Linden and the Sedins were quality as well. The D is starting to blast shots from the point when the Wild collapse all their players into the center area trying to fight off Jovo or Bert... Naslund and Morrison were good, and Ohlund did his best at trying to contain Maid Marian. Everyone's getting on Bertuzzi's case about not scoring goals, but he does so many other things. He's tough, he creates traffic, and in general havoc for the much smaller Minnesota team. Also, this is the second time he's taken out a key defenseman (Mcinnis anyone?) which, while ugly, could easily tip the scales in favor of Vancouver, as Mitchell was the only real person that could stand up to Bert in the front of the net. People were complaining about how the Canucks were a one line team before the playoffs (clearly the situation has reversed, as I think even the Defensemen have more goals than the forwards now! :p) but it's better than being a one-man team (Gaborik, with the occasional contribution by Walz).

Canucks in 5. And then it's off to Face the Ducks and J.S. Giggy.
