patrick roy was good at the age of 18. some players are perhaps late bloomers but some players just don't have it. i don't see anything wrong with the canucks game plan. you don't have to play like the mighty ducks or the wild to go far in the playoffs. the canucks are just going to have to make fewer stupid mistakes in their game. colorado and detroit don't play and ALL defence philosophy game and they have won many cups in recent years. |

Helps to have guys like Sakic, Forsberg, Hejduk, Blake, Foote, Roy, Fedorov, Hull, Yzerman, Shanahan, Hasek etc etc etc. The Canucks don't have these types of players, neither do the Wild or Ducks but they're still playing. |

true, but its not always about who you have on your team. it is not a collection of great players. it is still a team game. look at the new york rangers. they have all the big name expensive players and they still can't do it.
anyway, i would rather see an exciting canucks hockey team that falls short of winning it all then to be watching boring style defensive crap hockey all year long that might work.
with the devils, sens, ducks and wild in the final 4, i have lost almost ALL interest in following hockey for the rest of these playoffs now. the only interest left is to see ottawa take the grand prize back to canada. |
