all the people looking forward to a man with a dick chest wouldnt be so happy up until this point..
interesting debate i was having with a friend the other day.. what kind of turntables do you guys most prefer? personally ive only really ever used the technics 1200's.. so i cant really say the pros and cons about many others.. but i do know that the vestax ones were a bunch of junk.. |

i've used:
-citronic PT2
-gemini SA600 (the one I have now)
-technis SL1200 (my mate has them)
overall the technis is the best, but i'm happy with my gemini at the moment because it cost me $1000 less than technis anyway :D |

I have used
American DJ Direct Drive TT (I have these)
Technics 1200's (Mates Place)
The technics are better, but my American DJs are about $1000 cheaper that the Technics for 2, but they've never had a problem, and they are fine, not as much torque, but i mean they are perfect otherwise. Perfectly usable. Especially for poor students like me who dont have a spare $1600 floating around for 1200's :(
Plus now I wont buy 1200's
Numark have released the TTx1
These own all Turntables. Like 3 times the torque of 1200's

As for the turntable debacle. I've used use Technics, Statons n Gemini...Technics just take the cake. As a amatuer - mucked around with turntables for a max 10 hours...the technics kickass :cool: Those TTx's might have the torque, but is that consistant torque or just start-up torque? There's a major difference. Plus nothin will beat the Technics, they're solid..and a lil plastic piece of poo from Numark wont topple em :D |

I've used technics, and only technics.
Well for any length of time, I've mucked about on some others.
I really don't see any need to use others :/ |
