Not sure whether this is gonna be good or bad for the club. But here is what it says on the website:

PRESS RELEASE 08/04/03
OPERA HOUSE & SLINKY SOLD
Future 3000 plc has sold Future 3000 (Opera House) Ltd, the operating company of the Opera House nightclub and owner of the world famous Slinky brand, for an undisclosed sum, to Ultimate Pleasure Ltd, owner and operator of similar premises in Telford.
The new Managing Director, Clive Collins, says, “ We’re delighted to have acquired this prestigious southern nightclub & the internationally renowned clubbing brand Slinky. As we’ve bought the business as a going concern the existing management team are still in place & it’s business as usual for The Opera House & Slinky but, expect to see some major improvements at the club in the very near future & some exciting developments over the coming months”
When asked why he sold the business, previous owner, Richard Carr said “the Opera House does not fit within our business plan any longer; we are developing hotels & bars & are no longer involved in nightclubs”
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully slinky will still put on some of the best nites in the south for years to come, only time will tell! |

| Well if the same people are still involved with the running of the club, then things wont change. Hopefully this will secure the future of slinky. And the future success :D |

| sounds like a good move for the club to me, the current owner if specialising more in bars and hotels, obviously would want to leave the club in more capable hands during this time of depression in the nightclubbing market. |
