u can do mpg, avi or mov also...just need to get some video editing software and hook ur camera or vcr up to ur computer

some graphic cards has ViVo (video IN and video OUT)

otherwise u need a video editing card (pinnacle or something) they have cards with firewire and most times normal tulp connectors
