Friday 141: the beat goes on

We made it into another year.

I'm watching Blade of the Immortal and I lost count of killed dudes before one third of the movie.

Chill night, exhausted every decent TV show known to man over the last few months, and none of the new ones start for another few weeks.

Golden globes this weekend so working like a biarch this whole week.

Hey-sus Chrees-tos! Speaking of cold, we got enough sun this afternoon that I let the wood burning stove cool off enough to run the brush down the stainless steel flue for a mid-season cleaning. The metal ends on the 3' rods were pretty rusty, and even with a little petro spray, they wouldn't lock together well. Ended up dropping the brush and 4 rods down the flue. Had to disassemble the double-wall stove pipe/slip joint inside to retrieve it. Took over an hour, but it's all done, and the stove is re-fired. If I don't post next Friday, you'll know I put something together incorrectly and died horribly. GO TEAM

We need to get our chimney cleaned out. Would love to get the wood burning fireplace going.

Well, don't hire a skinny white dork from TN.

The best thing I did this Friday? Checked if I can get my passport in time to go see the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and, while I was at it, I saw God on ice:

(if you haven't seen this yet, fast forward to 2:30 for the greatest skating routine ever graced by the sounds of DJ Snake and Lil' Jon )

Yeah, the judges didn't appreciate it either. He finished in 11th

Holy Christ that hurt. Listening to middle aged ice skating commentators saying "I love that bassline" and "this is Trap music" was just too much to bear. I had quit when he tried to pull Crunk on ice. There's some things that just don't need to crossover.
