I'm not sure if I agree with people who are saying this is a big deal. I'm kind of in the "who cares" camp.

It's not like they are keeping out a specific race (ex: no blacks). Instead, they are keeping out all races but their own. Ok, you wanna have a Korean only club? Go for it. Who gives a shit? Why would you want to get in anyway if they're being dicks?

And yeah, if it was a gas station or grocery store that might be a different story because those are essential human needs (food, energy). But this is a nightclub. Nightclubs are traditionally selective - no one complains when nightclubs discriminate based on the way you dress or whether you're a girl or a guy.

What do you do if you're a guy standing in line at a club and 3 girls get let in right in front of you, but you're told you're "not on the list". File a complaint and a sexual harassment suit? Naw, just go to another club! Fox news should do an entire story about how this dude tries to get into all the really upscale clubs and is told he's not on the list while women walk right in!!! EXPOSED!

To me, such is nightlife. It's douchey for sure, but instead of complaining about it, I either deal with it (pay cover, buy ticket, bottles, etc.) or go somewhere else if it's not gonna work. No?

i think the "who cares" mentality works simply because its a nightclub. But that is the wrong precident to set for business. It doesnt work so well if it bleeds into restuarants, retail stores, or other business environments. The fact that its koreans helps too, us white folk dont enjoy the same exclusivity

sucks for guys with yellow fever that they cant get in!...

its pretty fucked up tho.....

while in the big picture there are so many clubs one can go to i don't think its a huge issue... but its a bit troubling to me nonetheless. If it was any other business people would be in an uproar over not letting in certain races... not sure why a club gets a pass on this.

a club that is designed to have waiters/staff drag women (against their will at times) to drink with strange men at different tables that are operating and serving alcohol beyond the legal hours and allowing smoking inside should make it a point to focus on equal opportunity admittance.. fuck the rest of the laws they are breaking.. ???
