Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. I didn't even really notice I dropped it out so much (the kick).. weird. fixed. did some variation on the bassline, just seemed like it would help the track move along better.

Yes, I think since I started with the bassline pretty early on, my ears got used to that sound in the mix... I do like a nice high end ruffles on basslines but I noticed the lofi (bit crush basically) filter on RP Predator FX was at about 17k, in a sister project I lowered it to around 5k, still a high end sound but less whiney you could say. As usual, the arrangement is killing me so we'll see how it goes. Wish me luck.
