Not unfortunately. You see, we have been in rebuilding years. The Rangers have been making it to the playoffs just about almost every year (after the mid 00's). Also, you can say, we have been getting knocked out every time in the first round; but that doesn't get me mad bc aside from rebuilding a contending Stanley Cup team, we have been working on experience- since we have such a young team! And for that reason, I would be extremely happy with the effort they did all season and for the fact that we were now making it to the playoffs. Now, after a couple of years, I'm glad to say we have a pretty strong solid team with the necessary experience to bring the Mug home!

One thing I'll admit though, I HATE our fore-check game..we need to step that up!

Au contraire, Why do you think I was rooting for Caps to win (besides bias)? Cause I know Rags are more than capable of beating Devils. I can also recognize that the Queen is a good goalie.

Devils have already exceeded my expectations for this post season. I was very proud to see them to get to the second round. Even if the lost to flyers, I would have not been mad cause they made it (barely) to 2nd round.

Now Devils - Rangers match up has to be the best one so far of these play offs. It not only does good for both team, but for Hockey/NHL as a whole. It seems that more and more people are drawn into this amazing sport.

I actually don't hate the Rangers. I am quite amazed with that Kreider rookie actually. Since Avery has been out of the team, I have no reason to "hate" on them besides the typical rivarily. Rangers do have a big fanbase that surpasses Devils fans.


Shit, my direct manager that i work with every day is a long time Ranger fan. I have no problem with talking to him about hockey games, play offs and both of the teams. I know more people (including guys on my hockey team) that are Ranger fans than Devil fans...



As far as chants go? Why wouldn't fans do chants? Its part of any sport. Rangers fans should be fully expecting chants from Devil fans and Vice Versa. That's just how it is with no ifs and buts.

I went to few away games in my life and I always fully expect to be bitched at, cursed at, etc (in all good fun) but some idiotic "fans" take that shit too far.

Seb: ^^And this is why I would rather talk with you. Great post. Its fun to have a bit of a back-and-forth with a "rival" who knows some things. We dont always agree, and I (of course) really dont like that you are a Devils fan, but at least you make SENSE. Even if your opinions/statements arent always coinciding with mine, I typically dont roll my eyes when you talk, because you are a passionate fan that doesnt take shit too far, with a solid understanding of the game.

PS: psshh trust me, I did the same. I wanted the Flyers to win so bad because of bias AND the ability to crush them. Im no fool!

edubbz: I agree with you man, We have a young team and I can absolutely see the potential, especially if we tweak Krieder a bit I was just saying "unfortunately" because I know how good both Bordeur and Lundqvist are, but I think the Devils in the past have backed him up with a much more solid team. I am not 100% confident we can breeze to a Cup this year, but at LEAST I am proud to say that we are improving and making strides towards getting there. Its been a while and we fans crave this!!

My percentages was from what I saw of the game and I've watched every game both Devils and Rangers. Devils simply dominated 80% of the game. Shit, even analysts have said it. You don't know me from a whole in a wall, so for you to judge me by my comments here is plain dumb. Not that you care but, I've been a die hard Devils fan since I understood the sport at the age of 8. My knowledge of the sport is well up there but stating it on a forum is useless. It's sports.. There will always be shit talking.

Yes the Rangers have been in the rebuilding process for years and they came out very strong this season. They MIGHT or MIGHT NOT make it to the finals. I really hope they don't so the Devils can actually prove to EVERYONE that being the underdogs can go a long way. It would also be of great satisfaction to me and my fellow Devils fans. We would be able to shut everyone up that stated from the beginning of the season we wouldn't even come close to the play-offs with the new coach.

No one expected us to be this deep into the play-offs, and I for one didn't as well. It would bring back so many bad memories of previous rounds in the 90's where, MATTEAU, MATTEAU, MATTEAU still echo in our ears. The rivalry indeed is outstanding and would furthermore be of pain if we made it this far and were sent home packing by the RAGS.

Marty's prime is way gone. The QUEEN will NEVER come close to Brodeur's many milestones. Yes, she is a GREAT goalie, but she wouldn't be that GREAT without the defense. 46 shots attempted last night, 20 made it to the net. Might as well start handing out goalie pads to the defense.


All in all, this is all for fun. Again this is the inter-web where opinions and emotions take over. Take it how you want it, I could care less. Rangers still and will always suck.


Whatever team wins, will have a hell of a time trying to beat the Kings.
