I really want to know. I think it's fucking banging, but some of my friends think it sounds horrible. I don't really care either way, but I wanna know what the consensus is.

I dig it, but I like highly repetitive tech tracks like the one above. But id like it even better with the bpm pitched up about 5-8

because i can already imagine the nightmares eqing the midlow range while layering with this. Its too repetitive on its own so i would want to use it as a dj tool and layer with it. Either way its typical Rekids fare, and I was never really a fan of that label to begin with.

Kicks have a little too much presence and could do with bass notched out around 250 Hz and 600 Hz in addition to cutting and shelving. Percussion is a little too static.
The Ryan Elliott remix is miles better. With that said, I like it. It's strong, it has some balls and that's something I'm always into. The stabs are great. Hi Fly is still the best track he's done imho.

See that's the thing, while this version may have too much of a kick, the remix doesn't have enough (I find). But yea, like you said, it has some balls and that's why I like it.

It's an okay track, i have heard better ( in that same kind of style ) and also from Nikola himself.
I bet it's banging live though, something about it just bothers me a lil' bit when listening to it with my headset.
