IGN is looking for a Video Technician with a love for video games and entertainment. Join the action and become the wizard behind the curtain, intricately involved in the production of our video content.
What does that mean exactly?
*Support the production studio, control room, edit bays, screening room, podcast room, and all associated systems
*Maintain camera, lighting, sound, grip, and communications equipment
*Support the video staff, keep the environment clean and organized, and provide insights to other departments as needed
*Direct/produce live and live-to-tape studio productions
*Support basic software and hardware installs
*Maintain Avid editing bays; ensure proper cable flow, basic trouble shooting and upkeep
*Set up gameplay capture for HD acquisition
*Coordinate setup, teardown, grip and technical support for studio shows
*Attend live events; support basic web streaming
*What will get you in the door?
*2-4 years of professional experience in digital video production
*You have a deep and growing interest in video production skills, ranging from cameras to switchers to editing to transcoding
*You are able work well with others in a collaborative, team environment
*You have positive, problem-solving attitude
*You have an endless appetite for learning
*You have passion for IGN and/or videogames
*You are open to some travel when needed

Once I saw this I had the perfect person in mind for this position so I went ahead and told him about it and he applied for it. His name is Jeff Youngblood and and he's been doing videos for various Car expos for the past few years and really knows his stuff and does great work.
