Adam420 has a point Mark and this is something that I've been meaning to talk to you about for a while now. I'm getting sick and tired of having to pick through 8 labels every time I play records at your place. You have about 1400 different records to choose from. Can't you venture out a little more? Sheesh.

I choose my titles by asking myself one simple question:
Would System-J hate the shit out of this track?
If the answer is yes I buy without hesitation.

Actually, you ask yourself "Can I boast on Discogs about owning this record, even if I only like the percussive intro?"*

Levels is...decent...damn better than a lot of the shite dominating the charts at the moment. It sounds absolutely nothing like...a billion and one similar tracks in this big-room style. I always had a soft spot.

Anyway, i really enjoyed this style. What is it? Deep House?
Probably Detroit Techno (even though Vince hates the term for whatever reason)
In other news, this album is pretty good. It's a bit rich for me in places, but there are some parts where the opulence is just irresistible. My favourite track is A Fairytale.
But yes, I still prefer the sweaty retro-futurism of tracks like Atom and Otherworldly.

Nice, I like your reviewing style quite a bit. I think I've read most of what's on your blog.
