put your money where your mouth is.

You are insinuating that that is the only alternative, im explaining to you that its not likely and it just goes in through one ear and out the other. You have no references except for your convuluted biggotry to back you up. So i came to the deduction that you feel that they "deserve" to be under a dictatorship, because otherwise, like all muslims, they are fundamentalist islamofacists at heart.

Again, people of Egypt prove me wrong. I'll give it a few years, see how it plays itself out and I'll be the first to admit I was wrong, if that so happens to be the case. If not, then i'll be praying for the people of Egypt. Nah prob not because I am a racist biggot and that's not how we roll.

They just reported that amongst the machine gunfire that has erupted that a large portion of the crowd is chanting "Jihad, Jihad"

what are you watching? fox news? jesus christ.

"jihad" translates into "struggle" in arabic. This is comming from the police force/ paid demonstrators (most probable) that are pro mubarak. perhaps in context for them to keep fighting the pro democratic protestors through the wee hours of the morning.

unless an angry protestor against mubarak, comes out and blows himself up shouting allah we akbar, then i suggest you save your comments for the peanut gallery.

anymore biggotry? Are you simply looking for any excuse to deny these people their right to self determination.

That may be the direct translation but dont play me because we know what context that is used in these circumstances.

im just restating what was just announced on a credible news source

bigotry? Why? Because a white guy has an opinion? That bigotry comment from you is actually quite bigoted to be honest. Funny but an arabic friend of mine actually shares a lot of the same opinion as I do. I guess hes also a bigot? Oh I forgot, hes allowed to have an opinion. Im not.

I REPEAT.

I HAVE NEVER SAID THAT EGYPTIANS OR ANYONE ELSE DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO SELF DETERMINATION. WHAT I HAVE SAID IS THAT IT LOOKS LIKE THE ALTERNATIVE IS GOING TO BE FAR WORSE THAN MUBAREK MEANING A RATIONAL PERSON WOULD THEN SAY THAT MUBAREK IS THE BETTER OF TWO EVILS

Anyone else wish to put words in my mouth?

I think you'd make it a lot easier on yourself if you provide some facts that proove that the alternative would be far worse, rather than just stating your opinion.

You do realise that if the Egyptian government was to democratically restructure itself, then there would be a chance for coalitions to form amongst the other (plentiful) opposition parties? These coalitions might also mirror the interests of secular citizens.

I applogize, it just seems frustrating to have a discussion when one correlates a demographic of people instantaneously with terrorist fundamentalist at the slightest cue. I do see your point and i am in agreeance that a completely secular government is ideal and best for the people. But in the end it is the peoples right to choose their government. We should not deny them that. Seeing what mubarak strived to thus far to keep his power should leave a sour taste in anyones mouth. Hence the reaction of the international community.

So we agree then.

Fundamentalists of any religion are dangerous. Since we are talking about Egypt, we are talking about Islamic fundamentalists. Id have the same opinion about a theocracy of any religion.

I do hope that Egypt becomes democratic for the sake of everyone.

It could happen. Hopefully there'll be a sustainable balance between the representing parties of the future.
