The Majestic Sound Of Italian House, Part 1 - Deep House (1988-1996)

Italians do make it better. I am thinking of making more Italian mixes. Here is an important chapter in EDM history. After the birth of house music in Chicago, the sound was introduced to Europe where it took a whole new meaning in Italy. Some of the earlier seminal deep house and tech-house gems have been pressed there. I was inspired by the mix Digging Deep Into Italy to dig up some random favourites from my collection, for that golden and forgotten era.

Depending on the feedback I may record another one mix of this style, part 2? So please do let me know how the mix went, feedback is always read and appreciated.

Enjoy this wonderful sound!

Also realized that cobble stone jazz seemingly copied this track:

and a little bit of virgo sampling after that

really nice phil, the mixing is loose at points but it didn't bother me too much. great tunes and a fairly good flow made this a pleasure to listen to.

and speaking of samples etc. the vocal sample used in montego bay's "magic" was used in jens' "psycho strings".

This does look excellent. I'd probably grab the second one too if you made it.
