East Of Alexandria (moody trip-hop neu-jazz downtempo funk dub spanglish rock)
yes. its that time again..i have once again been inspired by my fellow TA's to make a mix..you know who yous are
this time its a full on trip-hop mix that i promised to do donkeys years ago wayy before ascantha.
so i didnt bother get drunk on a friday night and instead put this together. the mixing isnt to my best standard, in some cases i was like err..i'll play this one..but i thought it turned out well! enjoyed it all the way through!! yes i do stray a little bit at times i get distracted.
Radiohead - Talk Show Host
Massive Attack - Risingson
Lucid - Scared
Mono - Silicone
Sin - Where Shall I Turn (K&D Session)
Groove Armada - Dusk You and Me
Air - J'ai Dormi Sous L'eau (Live BBC '98)
Atalanta - Falling
Primal Scream - Higher Than The Sun (A Dub Symphony In Two Parts)
Ziwtra - Rain In Chicago
Code 64 - Guardian
No Doubt - Don't Speak
Infected Mushroom - In Front Of Me
Mono - Life In Mono
Listened to this yesterday and today. Some of the tracks were hit and some were miss, especially the last handful of tracks. I found the mixing to be rather odd, I guess this type of music didn't lend itself to much layering. Not a bad one, there were some especially trippy hoppy tracks, but I wasn't a fan of the spanglish rock part

haha im only joking, i thought this mix was very...textured, i must admit, i play very samey trip-hoppy tracks for the first 2/3rds of the set but then in the last couple of tracks i must of got very distracted LOL
i dunno, maybe i was being too experimental for my own good
oh. and i had my teeth cleaned of plaque for £108 today. what a fuckin rip off i want my money back so i can spend it on cocaine or something illegal like that
thanks for the review zip, i'll knock out a psytrance mix next time for you brother

Yeah I definitely preferred the first 2/3rds over the last third. Not like that's a bad thing, I'm pretty sure I can't find a single set of mine that Ted Promo has actually enjoyed
