AV-8's don't fall out of the sky much but they're apparently an extremely complicated beast and the pilots dont get as much time on the stick they need to learn. Least that's how it was when they sold them to the US marines, think they broke a lot of them.
Not a AV-8 actually, also was a combo of hydraulics failure and coming in very heavy.
