I've been growing it out for ages because I've never had it long in my life. So I've been afraid to get it cut because I don't want it to get shorter again.

PS - I actually try not to put my transition shit in anyone's face here. (even though I have a right to!) Mostly other people bring it up instead. Like in this thread, I just wanted to post some photos of myself and my gf, and some people just can't get over the fact that I've changed genders.

Definitely. Needs shape and texturizing. It sucks to cut it, yeah - but if you want it to grow out better, you have to start with a good cut, one that will be more manageable and stylish as it grows out.

Looks like it just needs to be cleaned up and shaped around the perimeter and have your bangs cut properly to frame your face. Add some height/shape/shorter layers at the crown.

I've grown my hair out from super short many times in the past 15 years. The hardest part is getting it past chin length without cutting it. Inevitably, that is the stage that always looks the shittiest cause at that point it just needs to be left to grow.
