I think I prefer your frog shots to the bird ones. Two reasons: I like primary colours (and safety scissors), and birds are something I can see with reasonable detail fairly often. Frogs, not so much. Amazing shot though. I love the way their body parts all fit so snugly against one another, creating that little amorphous blob when they're sitting still.
We rescued them from a huge puddle after the Brisbane floods last month, so they're in an enclosure in out bathroom until we release them soon. I'll try and get a shot of one from underneath when it's sitting on the glass - Looks ever more like an amorphous blob like you describe. Almost like liquid
