I really do miss tending to a yard though. I had several acres down in FL I had to take care of and it's a really super relaxing thing, even if half the fucking thing is flooded and filled with mutant otters, mosquitos, etc.
Hopefully I will have a yard by this time next year. Apartments are lame as shit.

Yeah, it's a lot of work...but def. very rewarding. Worst part is pulling weeds though. Ugghhhhhh. That's the kind of shit I would hire someone else to do. Actually that reminds me - when I used to work for a landscaping company (cleaning up gardens, trimming hedges, pruning trees, planting flowers/shrubs, laying sod, etc.), the girl I worked with and I used to always wonder about all these rich fucks who never really enjoyed the beautiful gardens they had - cause we were the ones who did all the work on them.

Yeah, I have never understood that either. Half the beauty is in the satisfaction that you sculpted it with your own 2 hands, but I suppose if people were never raised with that sort of ethic, it's completely lost on them. Fucking cunts.
I've actually been pining to get this job as landskeeper at this really old graveyard over in Littleton for quite some time hahaha. Would be an amazing occupation, I think. At least something I could place my pride in. Err.

I love cemeteries. I grew up across the street from one, and I spent many hours of my childhood in there...riding my bike, reading books under the trees, and just generally being curious about the people who laid at rest there.
Anyway, I always enjoyed the hauntingly calm vibe of the cemetery. I still have dreams about it all the time.

I've always loved them too but I am kind of a goth piece of shit hahaha
I remember one estranged Grandmother's funeral I went to, I saw the grave for the man who had built the house we were living in at the time, but it did not have a year of death, it just ended in a hyphen. Word had it that he was still in the house somewhere, and we'd always find all sorts of weird little artifacts in the insulation/coal cellar, etc. Fuck, I love old structures. /tangent

Hm, well I got everything but the morning glories and snapdragons planted.
Have one pot of chives, one pot of sage, one pot of rosemary, one pot of thyme, and one pot of basil. Planted the pansies under the dogwood, and the wildflowers along the fence. Can't wait till this shit starts growing!

Depends exactly what you're doing in the way of landscaping. I had 2 huge retaining walls put in to stop the hill sliding down on top of us and I think it was close to 8 tonnes of soil to make the terraces. The walls and steps required an engineer to design and someone that's actually qualified to make it, because lets face facts.
If I did it, it'd be a rubbish job we'd dead in a landslide by now!
Aside from that I do all the planting of flowers, hedges, lawns and anything else I can drag up and down the damn hill like my current whimsy of cute cement statues.

I haven't been paying rent the last couple months, when I was living with my mom I was paying like $1000.
My aunt and uncle refuse to let me pay for anything lol... I feel bad. I offer and they say no.
I'm gunna start renting here in a couple months though if I decide to stay up here in Seattle. I hate rent though, its literally throwing money away when you think about it.
